L'atelier SUPERCOPY du collectif danois SUPERFLEX s'installe à la box_ENSA de Bourges. Plate-forme de distribution de plagiats de produits existants ou manufacturés sur place, l'atelier SUPERCOPY estampille contrefaçons, faux et imitations. Faisant le constat que le copyright et la propriété intellectuelle freinent et in fine entravent le développement, la perfectibilité et la diffusion des produits de la recherche intellectuelle comme scientifique, SUPERFLEX propose un outil d'appropriation et d'acquisition du savoir et de ses produits. Préférant la libre circulation des idées et des connaissances à la limitation de leur diffusion. Appliquant ainsi la pensée du philosophe Alain : « Copier est une action qui fait penser ».

Sur la redondance / On Redundancy
« La redondance est le concept qui décrit le mieux un art post-mimétique, un art dont le statut ontologique est délibérément double, un art qui est si parfaitement redondant par rapport à ce qu’il est aussi qu’il se confond avec lui. »
Stephen Wright est théoricien de l’art et chercheur dans le programme « Art et Mondialisation » à l’Institut National d’Histoire de l’Art à Paris. Ses recherches portent notamment sur les pratiques artistiques et para-artistiques à faible coefficient de visibilité artistique, et sur les conditions de possibilité et d’usage d’un art sans œuvre, sans auteur et sans spectateur. Né à Vancouver, il vit et travaille à Paris.
Colocation
Le programme Colocation s’appuie sur une série d’invitations faites à des artistes afin de produire des projets à partir du contexte spécifique de la box. Chaque intervention fait l’objet d’une mise en situation dans le lieu, la ville, ses conditions économiques et sociales, et soulève un certain nombre de questions relatives à l’action artistique : la responsabilité civique et éthique de l’artiste, la réévaluation des enjeux en fonction du contexte, le statut de la recherche en art. Colocation évoque également une nécessaire cohabitation sur le mode du partage des ressources.

The Danish collective SUPERFLEX is bringing its SUPERCOPY studio to La Box in Bourges. As a distribution hub for plagiarised products – from elsewhere or homemade – SUPERCOPY puts its seal of approval on fakes, forgeries and imitations. Having concluded that copyright and intellectual property law retard and in fine hamper the development, perfecting and dissemination of the outcomes of both intellectual and scientific research, SUPERFLEX offers a tool for the appropriation and acquisition of knowledge and its products. In preferring free circulation of knowledge and ideas to limitations on their diffusion, it applies the axiom of French philosopher Alain: 'Copying is an act that makes people think.'

On Redundancy
'Redundancy is the concept that best describes post-mimetic art, an art whose ontological status is deliberately dual, an art so perfectly redundant in relation to what it also is, that it merges with it.'
Art theoretician and researcher Stephen Wright is involved in the 'Art and Globalisation' programme at the Institut National d’Histoire de l’Art in Paris. His work focuses notably on low-visible artistic and para-artistic practices, and on the preconditions for the possibility and the use of an art without works, creators or viewers. Born in Vancouver, he lives and works in Paris.
Colocation
The starting point for the programme Colocation [Living Together ] was a series of invitations to artists to create projects specifically for la box. Each contribution is integrated into the la box space and the economic and social context of the city of Bourges, and raises various questions about the nature of artistic actions: the artist's civic and ethical responsibility, reassessment of issues according to context, and place of a specific research in art. Plus, ultimately, the need for coexistence based on the sharing of resources.
